I started to get emo and moody the week before I needed to fly to Bangladesh. I always knew eventually I will be back, is not that I have never been there before, I am almost a 'permanent resident' there by now.
But still, that feeling of leaving the comfort of your own home, giving up modern amenities and conveniences are nothing that I will get used to anytime soon, I am indeed a millennial and I am not embarrass to say. The night before my flight, I was still delaying my packing, feeling reluctant to accept my fate, just like a kid having to go to school for the first time.
Having come to terms with my fate the next morning on my departure day, I was determined to make my trip as comfortable as I could, I brought all the necessity from home which means that now my luggage is in excess of the allowable weight, but I couldn't care less and I just kept pilling up hoping to bring my whole room with me. I had my towels, my clean bed sheets with me as I knew full well from my past experience that there're no great hotels surrounding my work area. And there I went with 60kg of luggage including my working items.
Is the holiday season and the airport was busier than usual, I skip lingering around and went straight checking into Plaza Premium Lounge to gather my thoughts as well to go through some last minute emails. I can't help but feeling jealous looking at the happy faces of traveler finally having their well deserve year end trip to somewhere.
I upgraded my plane seats the first instance when my booking was confirmed, moving myself to the quiet zone with additional leg space. I had my Nintendo switch with me, downloaded a couple of movies for offline watching in case the internet is not working. I WILL SURVIVE the 5 hour flights with my fellow Bangladeshi.
' Flight crew armed doors and cross checked' Yay! the immediate joy of a small win, no one was seated beside me. I can have the quiet comfort throughout the journey.
As the plane took off and climb over the capital of Malaysia, the view is just mesmerizing.
The journey throughout was comfortable, took the time to watch 'Tenet' which was available on the infotainment system. But the joy was short lifted soon when I heard ' Cabin crew, please prepare cabin for landing'...
and now... is starting to feel a lot like Christmas.
